It lays down the magnetic (MICR) ink that bank scanners read along the routing and account line of your checks, so you print bank-ready checks yourself — no separate check printer needed. Each cartridge is custom-built and signal-tested for a strong, bank-accepted MICR line.
Choose your purchase option
- Toner + Drum (first-time setup) — Your first MICR conversion includes both the MICR toner cartridge and a separate MICR imaging drum (two separate units). A fresh drum is required the first time because your printer's original drum is already contaminated with regular, non-magnetic toner, which would weaken the MICR signal.
- Toner only (reorder) — On every reorder you need only the toner. The MICR imaging drum lasts about 125,000 pages — roughly 12 toner cartridges at this cartridge's 10,500-page yield — so one drum carries you through many toner refills before it needs replacing.
